True Story about Club Fitting

Normally, I really dislike negative type stories and advertising.  This story you are about to read concerns a major off course retail store and their attempt to fit a golfer over the phone via their web site.  I am not going to mention their name here, but I GUARANTEE you this is a true story.

This involves a golfer named Ben ( true name).  Ben had come to Ball Golf for a club fitting session.  He then shopped around various places including a well know web site of a major off course retailer.  Through their "club fitting process" of asking him questions over the phone and asking for measurements for height, fingers from the floor....  they decided that Ben was to fit into standard length and lie, standard grip...

Ben is 6"4" tall with very large hands.  At our fitting session Ben fit into +3/4" length, five degrees upright and +1/16 oversize grip!  That is about a long par 5 away from standard specs!!! 

 Like we have said for over 25 years - "It is impossible to be fit indoors or over the internet" These places want you to fit into standard specs because that is what they have in stock.  Each year we fit more than 300 golfers and so over the years we have fit around 7,000 golfers and have had ONE player fit into standard iron specs and ZERO players have every fit standard for and entire set!!!!!
